The mission of Avatar Energy is to advance the principles and goals of sustainable development through partnerships, collaboration, and outreach. The Agricultural community must be maintained at all costs and with this at heart, Avatar Energy aims to utilize every means possible to actively develop and promote agriculture in Nigeria and Africa. It is more than a business for us at Avatar Energy; it is a passion. We intend to establish a foundation that will engage in training farmers, uniting farmers and assisting local farmers (through cooperative, sponsorship and fund-raising) in acquiring the much needed farming machineries, tools and knowledge for increased crop and animal yield.
Nigeria is very blessed with agricultural resources, and if you remember, this is the reason for the 'green' in the flag. Most parts of the country experience rich soil, and good rainfall, not to mention the warm year-round temperatures. About 80 percent of the land is cultivable, and about 13 percent of the land is forested, and livestock are also maintained by farmers.

Before Independence in 1960, agriculture was the foundation for the human economy in Nigeria, and Nigeria was self-sufficient in terms of food. However, with the combination of the decline on agricultural focus with the discovery of oil and industry, and the population growth, Nigeria eventually had to start importing a lot of food. Recently, the sector is being transformed by commercialization at the small, medium and large-scale enterprise levels.
